Hill v Canidae Corporation

Case No. 5:20-cv-01374-JGB-SP

If You Bought a Canidae Pet Food Product Any Time Prior to April 30, 2021 You May Be Entitled to Receive Money From a Class Action Settlement.

  • There is a Proposed Settlement in a class action lawsuit that claims Canidae Corporation violated state laws regarding the labeling and marketing of certain Canidae Pet Food products (see FAQ 2). Canidae denies it did anything wrong and denies all of the claims made in this lawsuit. The Court did not rule in favor of either party. Instead, the Parties agreed to a Proposed Settlement in order to avoid the expense and risks of continuing the lawsuit.
  • Anyone residing in the United States or U.S. territories who bought one or more qualifying Canidae pet food products in the United States or U.S. territories, referred to as the “Product” or “Products” listed under FAQ 6, at any time after July 9, 2016 and prior to April 30, 2021, is affected by the Proposed Settlement.

  • Eligible purchasers may be entitled to a payment of up to $125 if you have Proof of Purchase, or a payment of $5 if you do not have Proof of Purchase.

  • The Proposed Settlement will provide: (1) money to eligible Class Members who make claims, (2) the costs of notice and administration, (3) an Incentive Award to the named Plaintiffs, and (4) Attorneys’ Fees and Expenses to Class Counsel.
